Kathryn Bader Mangel has been in the real estate industry for 22 years. A graduate of Ohio University, Kathryn combines a strong academic foundation with a passion for helping clients navigate one of life’s most important decisions—buying or selling a home. Prior to her career in real estate, Kathryn worked at IBM and in the technology sector throughout the 1990s, both nationally and internationally. This experience gave her a deep appreciation for customer service, strategic thinking, and the importance of building lasting relationships—skills she seamlessly applies to her real estate business today. With a focus on integrity, market expertise, and client advocacy, Kathryn strives to make every real estate experience seamless, informed, and successful.

 

Kathryn has received numerous industry accolades, including Rookie of the Year in her first year in real estate; recognition from Crain’s Chicago Business “Who’s Who"; Chicago Agent Magazine awards; and the Timeless Christie’s International Real Estate Award, among others. Kathryn is also deeply committed to philanthropy and community involvement. She has been actively involved with Neighbors of Kenilworth, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Auxiliary Women’s Board of Rush Hospital, chairing their housewalk in 2003. She has also chaired and supported fundraising efforts for organizations including Joseph Sears School, the Chicago Botanic Garden, and Ronald Knox Preschool, reflecting her dedication to giving back to the community she serves.

 

Growing up in Wilmette and now residing in Winnetka, Illinois, Kathryn offers firsthand knowledge of the local community, schools, and lifestyle that make the North Shore so desirable. As a graduate of McKenzie Elementary, Wilmette Junior High School, and New Trier High School, she brings a true insider’s perspective when helping families discover and transition into the North Shore lifestyle.

 

Outside of her professional life, Kathryn has been married for over 30 years to John and is the proud mother of three grown children. She enjoys an active lifestyle centered around racquet sports and cherishes time spent with family and friends. She also loves traveling, attending home décor events, needlepointing, playing mahjong, and exploring new places. A passionate supporter of Chicago sports teams, Kathryn is an especially avid fan of the Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks.
